Vincent AUFFRAY
French artist, born in 1943,
Having attended the Atelier du Bac in PARIS from the age of ten onwards, AUFFRAY was introduced to the fine arts by the painter Jacques CAMAS. He went on to the Academie Montparnasse and received a degree in graphic arts and advertising from Corvisart Paris, where he graduated third in this year. His creativity was then applied to a successfull career in communications. The diversity of Auffray's work as an illustrator, painter, photographer and sculptor led him gradually towards a personal output, which he started exhibiting to the public in 1988. In 2002 he opened a workshop in a old alpine chalet, where the calm and beauty of the mountainous environment have proved inspirational. In the same year he received first prize in a competition organized by the art gallery Passé Composé. Auffray's regular presence in personal and collective exhibitions have attracted the attention of the Conseil général de la Haute Savoie (France), which has exhibited his work on several occasions.
